Online Store to Live Orders in a Week: What to Expect
Launching an online store sounds like it should take a weekend. In practice, most people underestimate the number of small decisions involved — payment setup, shipping rules, tax settings, product photography — and the timeline stretches into months.
Here is what a realistic week looks like when the store itself is already built and configured for you.
Day 1-2: Branding and catalog. You provide your logo, colors, and product information. This is the only part that truly needs your input, because no one knows your products better than you do.
Day 3: Payments and shipping. Your payment processor is connected and tested with a real transaction. Shipping rules and tax settings are configured based on where you sell.
Day 4-5: Review and adjustments. You walk through the store as a customer would, and we adjust anything that does not match how you actually want to sell.
Day 6: Soft launch. The store goes live to a small audience — an email list, a few social posts — so you can catch anything unexpected before a full launch.
Day 7: Full launch. At this point, the store is tested, payments are confirmed working end-to-end, and you are ready to send real traffic.
The key difference from a typical DIY store build is that almost none of this week is spent on technical configuration. It is spent on decisions only you can make.
